RELIGIOUS SENSITIVITY
White Info icon with grey background

Data is gathered from CIA World Factbook.

Uzbekistan protects freedom of religion and believes in the separation of government and religion. Uzbekistan actively and violently suppresses extremist and terrorist activity. Religious minorities also experience great pressure and harassment from Muslims. Much of the religious turmoil of the country can be credited to the lack of law reforms that align with internationally recognized best practices.

TRANSPORTATION

Travel through Uzbekistan takes place by trains, planes, cars, and subways. Trains connect larger cities but is sometimes slower than traveling by car depending on how quickly you need to travel. Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, is the only city that has a subway system which is convenient for morning and evening travel when the roads have traffic.
